The Best News

Yes. That is right. The other day we got THE BEST NEWS. At the end of our last cycle Danny went in for a PET scan. The PET could not detect ANY actively growing cancer cells in Danny's body. We are really excited. Unfortunately this does not mean that we are done, and nothing has changed for the next five cycles ahead of us. We still need to fight the cancer so that Danny's lymph system does not even remember what cancer feels like. It still feels great to know that what we're doing is working. Danny's blood counts were great after the transfusion as well so we're really excited about our Utah trip. We're hoping the "relief" part of Relief Week will be present this time around. After Danny's uncomfortable prednisone crash last cycle our Dr. is tapering him off the steroid more slowly this time, trying to limit the shaky, and anxious affects. Overall this has been a MUCH better cycle and we're hoping that we can just keep knocking these cycles down.
Danny and Lucy replanted the garden with winter veggies. We're excited to watch them grow. (yes, only two-year-olds garden in tu-tus)

  2. What GREAT news!!! I hope the relief week really does provide the relief. Your little Lucy may be starting a cute new gardening trend among the toddlers. I can see our Eliza digging that (pun intended). Have an awesome time in Utah.
