Leininger Girls Family Birthday Party

During spring break we had THREE birthday parties for my kiddos. The first was a party with the Leinfam which I'm posting about because Lindsay took such good pics.
My new favorite picture of the almost seven year old.
We had a Frozen themed party.  Emily made this amazing cake while we were in Virginia so I got the recipe and tried it- I was happy because it was almost as good as hers. Lucy was super excited to set up her characters on the cake.

The kid table!
Lucy had another Frozen party with my family later in the week-so I made TWO of these Olaf pinatas.  I love a pinata. I thought he turned out really cute:)

After all the kids had gone once we let Danny destroy it. The Pinata kept flying onto the roof and showering us with candy-it was very exciting.

I also drew a Olaf for "Pin the carrot on Olaf". Conner got clever and felt around for the win.
After a delicious dinner all three girls blew out the candles!

Spoiled with Disney presents:)

Spring Break!

We had an incredibly eventful spring break at home this year. Becca arrived on Saturday so we made fun plans for every day of the week.
On Monday we went to the Oakland zoo.  I have a pass and take the little girls abut once a month but Lucy always moans that she never gets to go, so she was extra excited.

My favorite thing about the zoo is the awesome picnic we pack ourselves. Yep, its always about the food.
Since it was a special occasion we rode the train after exploring the zoo.  It was fun but on the way back from the "Australian outback" an emu was standing right in front of the gate so we were stuck there for about ten minutes. Just enough for us to panic and feel like we'd be stuck there forever.

We had a lot of fun plying with Baby Jane. My little girls were espeically enamored with her and loved bringing her toys to play with.

On Tuesday we went to Vacaville and did a little outlets shopping. As a reward for the kids for their good behavior we went to the Nut Tree afterwards and rode the carousel, played on the horsies and went to Fentons for ice cream.

Baby Jane's first bite of ice cream!
My girls' birthday fell on Wednesday and Thursday and warrant posts of their own. On Friday it rained and we stayed close to home. The little girls played and enjoyed the Tinker Bell stickers they got on their birthday.
Mom brought home chickies for kindergarten class and the girls loved holding them.

That evening we left the kids with grandma and Becca and I went to the temple. It was a fun and relaxing escape:)
On Saturday Mom and I took all the girls and checked out some garage sales in San Ramon. That afternoon we got all dressed up and took family pictures with Valerie Porter in the Leininger's backyard. They turned out super cute!

Easter

We had a really fun Easter this year. Our girls are at great ages for the events and learning about the holiday. The Friend magazine had a really cute activity page with a scripture and topic about Christ's life for each day of the week leading up to Easter.  I used the new Bible video app and we watched a corresponding video on the iPad each night as well. The lead up to Easter was exciting.

On Saturday we celebrated with the Leinfam because we weren't all getting together the next day. We had a fun breakfast at the park followed by an Easter egg hunt. Joyce was a pro-she really went after the eggs with intensity:)

Danny got a picture of what the Easter bunny left! There was no time before church for an Easter egg hunt-so I asked the Easter bunny to only bring some fun baskets this year.
My girls all dressed up for Easter Sunday!

We had stake conference at the interstake center and had a fun time roaming the grounds before it started. Becca and her girls had arrived from Utah the day before and came too.

After conference we went home to Grandma Karen's house for an Easter egg hunt and dinner. The kids then begged me to eat their eggs all day long-and I let them.
