Biopsy and Prayer

After our crazy Stanford appointment we just wanted to get Danny's biopsy done and over with. Marilyn took him in on Thursday. He was in surgery for about two hours, quite a bit longer than originally quoted. Our kind surgeon wanted to be sure he got good samples and took 2-3 nodes out. He said Danny would be in some pain because he had to "root around" in there due to the scar tissue in Danny's neck.  Danny woke up and spoke to all of his nurses about the gospel. He groggily asked if they were religious and did they want to come to his church. I laughed so hard when I heard that-Danny is awesome.

He was groggy and in pain most of the day and went to his parents house to relax, unfortunately our babies don't allow peace and quiet these days.

We were all really touched by an email my grandfather sent us that afternoon. Grandpa and Grandma Jacobs are on a short mission in Denmark working in the temple.  We have been grateful in the past as they put Danny's name on the temple rolls of temples all over the world.  Well yesterday he was on the temple roll in Copenhagen. My grandpa passed along emails about Danny's health to his family members, one of whom is President Monson's personal secretary. Yesterday Danny's name was on the 1st presidency's prayer roll during their weekly meeting. We all laughed and cried when we got the note. Doesn't get much cooler than that! Thanks for thinking of us Grandpa, Grandma and Christy:)

We appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers. We've held this fear pretty close for the last couple weeks and when I finally put the news out there yesterday I was blown away by support and love. Thanks for everything. We're so grateful.
