Danny and I have decided we need to have several Saturdays a month when we explore our beautiful area and just enjoy time together as a family. Saturdays can get hectic but setting aside and "outing" day is totally worth it! We had the best family day in January. Danny needed to go in to work to unpack a new computer and set up his desk so we decided to go with him. I helped him organize while the kids played on the ipad for an hour. Afterwards, rather than go home, we decided to go to Sausalito and explore. We ate at a yummy deli and walked around the picturesque streets.
Then we headed to Black Sands Beach-our favorite little undiscovered strip of beach in the Marin Headlands.
It was still light so we decided to check out Point Bonitas Lighthouse just down the road. Somehow we'd never been before. It was beautiful and we love seeing something new.
That evening we celebrated Grandma Marilyn's birthday. Danny surprised us all after she blew out the candles saying "Sorry Mom!" before smashing her cake in her face.
Don't worry, she got him back. They were both covered in cake after that:)
